Basement Cleanouts in
Washington Park

Decades of storage under the Denver Square, and one narrow staircase between it and the curb — we handle that. Full-basement cleanouts in Wash Park (80209 / 80210), carried up the stairs and hauled, at a flat photo-quoted truck-fill price from $325. Clearing the detached garage too? Add it to the same trip. This is the classic Denver job — the one a home in LA or Dallas can't even offer, because they don't have basements. No Colorado sales tax on the service.

The Wash Park basement, cleared

Washington Park is the quintessential Denver family neighborhood — Denver Squares and Craftsman bungalows ringing the park, and almost every one of them sits on a full basement. Denver's dry, semi-arid climate means those basements fill up rather than rot: decades of holiday boxes, kids' outgrown furniture, an old sleeper sofa nobody wanted to carry back up, paint cans, a dead water heater, camping and ski gear, the previous owner's leftovers. It's the same volume a Seattle basement holds, without the mold — but it still has to come up one interior staircase to get out, and that's the part that stops people.

That's the job we're built for. Our crew clears the whole basement and carries every piece up the stairs — no per-flight fee, no heavy-carry line, it's in the flat price. Wash Park is also prime pop-top and scrape-off territory, so a lot of these cleanouts are the first step before a second-story addition or a sale, and we schedule around your renovation or listing date. It's the signature Denver cleanout, and it's ours.

How a Wash Park basement cleanout works

1 · Send photos down the stairs

Snap the basement — and the garage if it's going too. You get an exact flat truck-fill price back in seconds, no walkthrough required.

2 · Pick a day

Same-week is usual and often sooner. Prepping for a pop-top, a listing, or a downsizing move? We schedule to your date.

3 · We carry it up & haul

A vetted crew hauls everything up the basement stairs and out, donates and recycles what it can, and leaves the basement clear. You lift nothing.

How much does a basement cleanout cost in Wash Park?

Flat and photo-quoted as a truck-fill — the carry-up-the-stairs, the drive, and the disposal are already in the number. Most Denver Square and bungalow basements land between a half and a full load.

VolumeFlat price
Minimum job$75
Truck-fill — 1/4 (a corner of the basement)$325
Truck-fill — 1/2 (a typical bungalow basement)$580
Truck-fill — 3/4 (a packed Denver Square basement)$790
Truck-fill — full (basement + detached garage)$985

$75 minimum. Carry-up and disposal included. Adding the detached garage off the alley? It goes in the same flat truck-fill. No Colorado sales tax on the service.

For context, a traditional full-service hauler prices a basement by how much of the truck you fill and often confirms only on site, with stair-carry upcharges common — national cost guides put a full truckload in the $550–$900 range. Our truck-fill is quoted flat from your photos before we roll, and carrying it up the stairs is already included.

Does Denver pick up basement junk?

Not in any way that helps with a basement. The City & County of Denver's free Large Item Pickup (through Denver 311 · 720-913-1311) is curbside-only, capped at five large items per pickup, runs only about every nine weeks, and excludes appliances and electronics — which rules out that old basement water heater, the dead fridge, and the CRT TV right off the bat. And before the program could take a single thing, you'd have to carry the entire basement up the stairs and out to the curb yourself — the exact labor that makes a basement cleanout hard in the first place. A full basement is easily ten times the five-item cap. So the city program simply doesn't solve this, which is why Wash Park homeowners call a full-service crew: we come down the stairs, carry it all up, and haul it in one flat-priced trip.

What we haul out of a Wash Park basement

Donation- and recycle-first, up the stairs and rehomed

A Wash Park basement is full of good stuff that just ended up down there, so we divert donation-first. Usable furniture, tools, and housewares go to Goodwill of Colorado, ARC Thrift Stores, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore — with a tax receipt on request. Metal from old appliances and shelving is scrapped, e-waste is recycled (Colorado bans TVs and computers from the landfill, and we handle that correctly), and only what's truly spent is disposed responsibly. Every load is tarped, which on the Front Range also keeps the tip fee from doubling for an uncovered truck. It fits Denver's waste-diversion push, and it's all inside your flat price.
