What the city's Large Item Pickup won't do for you
Denver's free Large Item Pickup is real, but it's built for a curb, not a basement. It runs once every nine weeks, takes a maximum of five large items (plus ten bags), and it's curbside only — you have to get everything up out of the basement and out to the street yourself.
