Residents near City Park reasonably ask whether the city can just come get it. Denver's Large Item Pickup is a real program, but it's built for a curb, not a basement or an attic. It runs only about once every nine weeks, takes a maximum of five large items (plus ten bags), and it's curbside only — you have to get everything up out of the basement, down from the attic, and out to the street yourself.
