Only in a way that fights your HOA. The City & County of Denver's free Large Item Pickup (scheduled through Denver 311 · 720-913-1311) is a curbside program: you'd set everything at the street and wait for a slot that comes only about once every nine weeks, capped at five large items — and it excludes appliances, electronics and tires outright. In a design-covenant neighborhood like Central Park, that curbside pile is exactly what the rules discourage, and five items barely dents a full garage of bins, gear, an old treadmill and a couple of dead appliances. So the city program doesn't really fit here: what a garage reclaim actually needs is a crew that loads from inside the garage and hauls it the same day, which is what we do — appliances, electronics (Colorado bans them from the landfill) and all.
A garage clear-out is full of things with life left in them, so we route donation first — bikes, tools, camping and sporting gear, patio furniture and household goods still in good shape go to Goodwill of Colorado, ARC Thrift Stores, or Habitat for Humanity ReStore, with a tax receipt on request. Metal — old shelving, mowers, grills — is routed to a scrap recycler, and electronics go to an e-cycler because Colorado bans TVs, monitors and computers from the landfill. Only the genuinely spent material is disposed, every load tarped, which on the Front Range also keeps the tip fee from doubling for an uncovered truck. It's all in the flat price, and it aligns with Denver's push toward waste diversion.
